Media notes
Calling after playback on a beautiful sunlit morn in arid chaco between Villa Dolores and Reserva Chancaní. A second bird, possibly the mate, gives the loud calls starting at 39”. Background: Picazuro Pigeon, what sounds like a Serpophaga trill (Straneck’s?), et al. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME67 directional mic with an Auray shaggy windscreen.
Observation details
What seemed to be a pair, one very vocal (after playback) and the other giving a single loud call note were active on this clear morning in a patch of chaco habitat en route to Chancaní. Recording.
