Observation details
Male with shovelers on pond in SE corner. Smaller than shoveler, bright rufous flanks, white crescent like a Blue-winged Teal (but a trait often shown by this hybrid combo), and broad shoveler-like bill. Maybe the same bird seen at Centennial Regional Park in Feb 2020 and also at Bolsa Chica in 2020 and 2021? Photos.
