Observation details
Thank you to Mary Catherine for allowing us to visit her yard to see this bird! The bird was slightly smaller than the American Goldfinches it was associating with, with a dark head and back. It was lemony yellow on its throat down through its belly. The primary wing tips were white when folded onto the back, showing an interesting pattern that was noticeably different than AMGO.
