Observation details
*** Discovered by Cali, despite it requiring a rough drive, a walk across multiple fincas and then scaling a stream. Not as easy as previous occasions in last week, when they were encountered earlier in the morning. Eventually began responding and one was close enough to see, mostly as it moved between long periods of sitting still. Finally seen with binoculars, silent and above us. Immediate impression a lot like Yellow-bellied or Yellowish Flycatcher, with strong yellow below concentrated in a bit of a vestl eyeringed and cute, but a bit top heavy, and head was round and much darker. Heard continuously for a few minutes giving its series of oddly deep and rich pips, occasionally running then into an accelerating and stereotyped jumble that slowed again at the end. Recorded.
