Media notes
Two different pairs of Ash-throated Crakes are duetting in the marshy section of rather open, tall-grass savanna between mottes of trees en route to the airstrip at Barba Azul. What I think is Gray-fronted Dove calls in the distance in the background, and a distant Wedge-tailed Grass-Finch sings. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
Heard calling from marshy areas along the road to the airstrip and in the extensive marshes along the Omi River
