Observation details
Photos, one posted. Seen walking in field with dozens of Killdeer, but not in direct comparison to them. Obviously larger than KILL, brownish dorsally (back, wings) with greenish iridescence in sun. Top and back of head tan with darker central line on back of head, face white with black streak below and behind eyes, prominent thin dark crest constantly waving in wind. Plover-shaped bill. White throat/neck, thick black band across chest, white belly, pinkish legs. Seen here for a few days my multiple observers.
