Male bird with Little Swift
Observation details
I mistook this bird for a sparrowhawk and was convinced for 2-3 weeks! Seemed huge for a shikra, but lack of barring on belly, presence of gular stripe, pale colours including for the orange, all point to shikra. Original remarks below: Male sparrowhawk. Typical Accipiter with barred underwings. Sparrowhawk jizz as soon as I saw it, especially the curvature of leading edge of wings. Seen in flight quite high up, but everyone got good views. Spotted the bird again later as well. This is probably the same bird I saw from a distance a few days ago but wasn't able to identify. Ankush and Praveen had also seen it earlier, so this bird has probably been here for around a week?
