Observation details
Small white goose snoozing along the main shore of Steward Park among the flock of Canada geese. When it lifted its head, however, we could see the bill lacked the characteristic "grinning patch" of Snow Geese. More notes: Initially, we thought it was Ross's because it had a short stubby bill, very round head, and the posterior margin of the bill was not very curved, although it was admittedly a bit large. However, since others reported it as a snow goose, we second-guessed ourselves and changed it to snow goose. Later, we requested Jay to take a look at the video, and he thought it was a Ross's, so we have decided to change it back for now.
