Observation details
Identified on breakwater with help from images in prior reports at this location. Paler and smaller than herring and black-backed gulls with which it was located. Almost completely black bill, though slightly paler at the base. Pink legs. Seen both roosting and swimming with other gulls, including a particularly dark juvenile herring gull. Images attached.
