Observation details
Or probably not, and I'd welcome any alternative ideas. Adult male. Like adult male N Shoveler except: Bold but narrow white facial crescent, but not extending above the eye. Bill very slightly smaller. Instead of gleaming white upper breast and scapulars, bird showed an odd warm reddish brown, almost pinkish color recalling male American Wigeon. No flecking or vermiculation on the breast or flanks. Leg color simply orange, as opposed to red-orange.
