Observation details
A distant flock of swifts initially seen high towards Postmans Track, as viewed from the cemetery, at 1730. Returning to the cemetery at 1755 I was excited to find the group hawking low overhead. Views were excellent as I watched the birds in awe for 20 minutes or so. Plumage-wise, I was able to discern the white throat, vent and saddle. I can also make out the white lores from photos. A couple of birds made some especially low (< 20 m) passes making for a really special experience on the night of the Super Moon! This was also my 150th species for Golds Scrub Lane!
