Observation details
Originally identified a couple days ago by John Garver, who was alerted by an attentive neighbor who owns and stocks this feeding station. Bird was spotted on phone line over Pigeon Hill Road directly opposite very active feeding station. Mingling with MODOs. The entire flock was eventually flushed by a COHA fly-by, so I'm feeling lucky on my timing. Most photos digiscoped (iPhone held up to eyepiece of Swarovski scope). Road was quiet for traffic while I was visiting (on a snowy Sunday). Photos clearly highlight white patterns on wings, spot-free folded wings, blue skin around eyes, and black patch below eye.
