Observation details
At 9:20 saw/heard a pair meet up near Kennedy Ridge and fly north together towards H.O. Cook State Forest. At 9:35 noticed a group of no less than 13 hovering over the summit of Stone Mt (11 in first photo with 2 more out of frame)(Stone Mt is to the south of where the first pair had gone). After taking the group photo I never saw that many at once again, though could always see 3-10 for the next 70 minutes at which point I intended to observe them from inside my house though by the time I got back I could no longer see them. The group was nonstop playing in the air enjoying the moderate winds, and though they would sometimes land in the tops of the tallest conifers they would almost immediately take flight again. Sometimes a single or pair would fly off farther from the rest of the group though they almost always flew back to the summit within a minute or two. In second photo notice unmistakable wing/tail shape.
