Media notes
The shikra exhibiting the exhling/breathing through mouth behaviour after it has moved to perch after bath.
Observation details
In my bird bath and perch above.A few number of Shikras regularly come to drink water and take bath in my bird baths.I have several times reported about behaviour of Shikras who exhale/ breath through mouth several times after they take bath/during drying up,after wetting the body.I have also several times uploaded videos of this behaviour of Shikras. It is to be noted that this behaviour is exhibited by Shikras only after their body is fully wet and not before. Moreover this behaviour is exhibitted by different individuals and not by a single individual. Here also this individual was in bird bath when I saw it and moved to perch briefly. It again came down to bird bath had a long bath, where it exhibitted this behaviour and then it moved up to the perch ,where also he exhibitted this behaviour. It finally flew away when two Large billed Crows came to bath.Uploading videos:
