Observation details
Very small, furtive, short-tailed wren skulking in brush piles beside Cienega Creek perhaps 100m upstream of the confluence with Davidson Canyon. Overall brown above with tannish underparts; richer reddish tones restricted to the tail. We we played call notes from WIWR and PAWR in the field and the bird called back briefly, giving a double-noted call with the timbre of WIWR. Jake got the best photos.
