Observation details
Continuing. See photos. Many thanks to Scott Northey! First seen on 11/14/21. Subsequently formally identified by members of the Delaware Ornithological Society, according to a note in another checklist. Apparently not banded. ACCESS RULES: Visiting Hours: Visiting hours are restricted to weekdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and weekends 9:00am to 1:00pm. The bird visits routinely to both feeders. Perches frequently in the “honeysuckle” tree behind the second feeder. Generally perches in the center of the tree or along the outer perimeter of the tree. Vocalizes often. Please be careful of uneven spots on the lawn to avoid tripping. Where to park: Street parking only. Try to limit parking to the front of my house. Do not block any driveways. Not too concerned about my lawn but some of my neighbors do so please be respectful of parking on neighbors' lawns. ATTENTION: Many young kids live in this neighborhood and walk to school and ride their bikes on this street. Neighbors also walk frequently on my street. Please drive safely and slowly in the neighborhood. Please carpool as much as possible to limit traffic. Option to park at Bellevue Community Center and walk to house. Address: 1505 Woodsdale Rd, Bellevue Manor, Wilm, DE 19809 Host: Scott Northey Send me a text if you are planning to visit so I can monitor amount of people at any given time (302-354-7321). May need to limit visitation on certain days based on my work schedule. My dog may let you know she is home but she will not be in the yard without us and will be on a leash. No restroom facilities available. How to view the bird: House is white with green shutters. There are two feeders on the right hand side of the house. Walk across the front lawn to green chairs. Do not use my neighbor’s driveway and do not use my driveway to access my backyard. Please view bird from green chairs or from behind the green chairs. Do not go beyond the green chairs. PLEASE LIMIT the group size watching for the bird to 5 people at a time. This may mean you need to wait in your car until someone ahead of you leaves. Please add these rules to the description of the bird in all eBird reports.
