Observation details
Interesting looking Muscovy. Plumage-wise, the duck was spot-on for a wild Muscovy, showing essentially all black plumage at rest, and with a white portion through the wing when stretching once. The black crest atop the head was noted clearly. The face had small red warty growths and the bill was partially yellow with a vertical black stripe in the middle along with a black tip. While seen at rest, the black folded wings had a cast of iridescent deep green. Behaviorally, this bird's origin seemed domestic, as it was resting with a variety domesticated ducks along the pond.
