Observation details
WOW...had a young female flew right to us. Have never had this happen before. Our group was using a scope to look at 4 different SNOW and were over a 1/4 to a 1/2+ mile from them all. Bird #3 took off from the top and flew towards Champlain, #1 and #4 were firmly rooted in their well hidden locations and #2 , over a 14 mile away frm us, took off south then turned and flew directly at us and momentarily swooped low and out of sight because we were were well back from the ridge. At that point I thought, "this bird is coming right at us" and sure enough it landed 25 feet away from us. We all stood totally still. She sat and spent some time looking right at us, then away, and right at us again before flying off to the east and landing in a treetop spruce on the opposite ridge. Just totally inspiring! LIFE BIRD for Neil and Christy Morganstein. Life experience for us all!
