Observation details
Continuing, tricky to find; not quite where it had been previously a little NE of the pin from the past few days (approx here: 41.3777168, -71.5036566). Began as the sole birder present and wandered around for a while until I found it feeding in a little pool, semi-concealed in medium high grasses, and watched it for a few minutes before it tucked into some taller grasses. Figured it might pop back out to feed again and waited for a while until a few additional birders rolled up and we decided to slowly walk towards where it was last seen and we were able to relocate it 10 yards away or so; it fed briefly in a small pool and then a little channel and then sort of joined a Dunlin, before completely disappearing again, this time for good. Suspect it kept heading East on foot across another channel but by then I had to leave. As others have said this is a mucky marsh, and from the Sand Hill Cove Road side it is quite deep in places. Sacrificed a lens hood somewhere along the way but ultimately worth it. Pics.
