Observation details
Walked into the woods at Frontera at 10:50 a.m. Dusky-capped Flyc was calling near gate (mournful, sweet, down slurred). Turned right to old orchard and whistled in the bird (yard nester in AZ). Came in with crest raised. Dull-tailed slender Myiarchus with smaller bill than Great or Brown-crested. Fairly bright yellow below, white chest. Upper head dull brown. Call certainly distinctive. Got two photos at 12:45. Still calling. Seen again (silent) near front (grapefruit grove) water feature bench at 1:24.
