Observation details
Continuing female-type found by Ken Dayer a few days ago. After much searching, I found it hanging out in a narrow cove just to the east of the main parking area and dock, visible from 33.0297653, -108.1563761. Fairly shy and worked its way into the cattails not long after I spotted it. No views of the white wing patches, though the circular spot in front of the eye and the depressed bill shape rule out Surf Scoter. Photos
