Observation details
Per Sheri Williamson: Fortunately, this is a juvenile male by the extensive rufous at the bases of the central pairs of rectrices and well up into the lower back as well as the patch of male-like gorget feathers. Based on tail parameters for this age/sex, the rectrices, especially R5, appear too wide for Allen's, and R2 appears to have a faintly "pinched" tip as is usually the case in juvenile male and adult female Rufous. Even considering the relatively remote possibility of hybrid origin, I'd call this a Rufous.
