Observation details
I saw the PAWA near the beginning of the Nature Trail, on the road to the pier. There is currently a chain link gate blocking access to the pier and the PAWA was on the other side of that gate. It flew and perched on the fence, then flew over to the Nature Path bridge, then flew south toward the building on southeast corner of the parking lot. I did see it perched on the entrance walkway roof of that building some time later. After about an hour of searching with Liz Holencik with only brief sightings, Chuck Phyllo arrived and saw the bird back in the original location on the road to the pier. So, perhaps it will stay in that area to be seen by others. Besides flitting around, the bird exhibited the constant tail pumping known to this species. Non-breeding plumage. Dark eye-line, yellow undertail coverts.
