Observation details
Flying over wetland marsh to the west, mobbed by blackbirds and starlings for about 30-45 seconds, with murmuration-flock formation as if it were a falcon. I watched it for another several minutes after these mobbing/evasive interactions, as it flew around the middle and west end of the marsh. Female, long tail & slender, long wings, white rump, dihedral V, also some hovering. Also two red tail hawks were interested and briefly tried to escort it off, although the starlings and blackbirds were then harassing all the raptors. Hairier obviously faster able to fly higher more quickly than the red-tails, easily eluded them and flew higher than hawks, starlings and blackbirds, before entering long gradual dive to west end of marsh, then slowly flew in typical harrier fashion over marsh before I lost it to the west.
