Observation details
Incredible find!!, and thanks to Brian C. from FL Keys HawkWatch on being first to relocate and confirm this bird and getting me on it quickly! Seen feeding here (25.0262772, -80.4930493). Medium sized shorebird, noticeably larger than nearby spotted sandpiper, yellowish legs, white belly and vent, bumping tail when walking, straight bill with slightly lighter color at base, dark lores, with white line above eye, and gray cap and gray neck/breast contrasting with the white belly. Back was gray with slight brownish hue, containing slight white speckling and wings crossing slightly when closed. Originally heard going in it was a wandering tattler, but based on plumage - being overall lighter gray, thinking gray-tailed. Did great hear after my sighting that other birders heard vocalizations and additional features seen suggested GTTA. Feeding entire short time I was there, staying close to shore and rocks/root masses. Photos to come.
