Observation details
Delightfully confiding bird reported by Adrian Burke. Foraging actively throughout the park, constantly flitting between shrubberies, plantings, and tree branches. Observed eating flower petals, small berries, and passing insects, as well as a discarded apple core that it dragged into dense cover to devour in peace. Unmistakable and unique, with vibrant yellow breast lighting up even the darkest shadows of the vegetation. Perched in the open briefly but frequently, striking animated poses and entertaining assembled birders and bemused passersby alike with its jaunty antics
