Observation details
Continuing bird. Really stood out from other birds with dark slaty mantle, pink legs, pot-bellied hefty appearance and "mean" look on streaky face. Felt slightly more graceful than a Glaucous-winged/Western, perhaps shorter in stature. I was not there to witness, but other birders saw the string of pearls. I noted that on the folded wing, the white "spots" further into the primaries looked larger than that of the wingtips. Perhaps I was seeing the string of pearls from a folded position.
