Per James Eaton this vocal-type is really similar to Reddish Scops-Owl but in the sonogram the frequency is just above 1khz while in Reddish Scops it is just below 1khz.
Observation details
H [Note 27/10/21: I have changed the count of birds heard from 3 to 5 and added a recording of the vocalizations that I had thought might be Reddish Scops-Owl, but were actually also the frogmouth.] [Note 27/10/21: Regarding the high count, I had heard 3 different Javan Frogmouths along other parts of the road giving typical vocalizations, then sound recorded two birds that I had thought might be Reddish Scops-Owl, but which were recently identified as a similar vocal-type of Javan Frogmouth by James Eaton. I have added a sound recording of the (to me anyway!) confusing Javan Frogmouth vocalization.]
