Observation details
Dark brown duck with tan neck/head and dark eye strip. Had a bunch of them yesterday at South Padre Island Birding Center so had them in the vision of my brain up front. Decided later to turn around to get a photo…had not been taking photos the last three days of birding. Returned and saw the duck again and one photo turned out.. Was in and out behind grasses in shallow water. Saw it fly off.
