continuing bird, appeared at 1653 loafing on the water past the boom floats. very large, dark mantled gull, with a very wide bold tertial crescent, pink legs, heavily streaked neck, light eye. bill light yellowish and quite slim. molting outer primaries, giving it a short winged appearence when resting. string of pearls not seen, as I left the bird quite abruptly after hearing of BUOW over at the cedar river mouth. my first for WA, and only 2nd SBGU ever
