Observation details
larger gull (than glaucous winged) with streaked head and neck, pale yellow iris with dark smudging around, quite pnk legs, and a medium-dark slate-gray back and upper wings with broad white trailing edge. During wing stretch, wings showed broad white tips, ‘pearls’ were seen. Straight, small thin yellow bill with red gonys. Thick white crescent along the tertials. (Very Womanly.) First spotted by Greg H several days back, then relocated today by Alan whom I was with at the time. Good catch bc the bird was facing towards us at the time so the color wasn't as evident as when he turned side-on much later. Continuing....
