Observation details
Stub-tailed wren at easternmost open water S of restrooms. A couple call notes but a Sharp-shinned flew in and it disappeared. Recorded-pics didn't come out. Submitted originally as Winter/Pacific Wren, which was flagged by someone as being Pacific Nov 2022. I reviewed the recording and compared with recordings on https://academy.allaboutbirds.org/peterson-field-guide-to-bird-sounds as well as looking at the spectrogram and reviewing the Peterson Field Guide to Bird Sounds of Western North America. While similar to a Winter Wren "smack" call, it matches the Pacific Wren "Jit" call. Both species were present here in the winter months of 2016-2017
