Observation details
**Very rare outside of the Panhandle, especially in high numbers. Spectacular! Initially encountered a single bird along the road at 41.8797041, -100.3273255. After finding this bird, I continued to bird along the road, stopping and checking roughly every 0.5 miles or so, but after finding the continued presence of this species, I began specifically checking appropriate habitat for this species along the road. This search resulted in: One bird at 41.8600442, -100.3217837 Two (maybe 3) birds at 41.8568916, -100.3209539 Three birds at 41.8543295, -100.3175750 One bird at 41.8508604, -100.3168447 At least four birds (maybe up to 6) at 41.8488789, -100.3132610 Five birds at 41.8301904, -100.3119299 Two birds at 41.8285106, -100.3113140 One bird at 41.8190591, -100.3141619 One bird at 41.8057716, -100.3157041 This high count is rather surprising since only a handful of individuals have been found at this location in the past (a maximum of five on June 30, 2019).
