Adult. Remarks: 4 am - Its melodious four-noted call, like a Balinese flute, lured us in pitch darkness into the forest's belly. 5 am - Eldhose KV, our guide, asked us to wait till sunrise. Long after it had stopped calling, the owl's call continues to play in our mind. 6 am - Eldhose goes in search of the bird, and we wait for our calling. He comes back with a victorious smile. We follow the smile till we beam, looking at a sunbeam falling on the bird. 7 am - We are still unsure if the Bay Owl looks or sounds more enchanting. - PVS. Date added to OBI: November 01, 2013.
