Media notes
Remarks: Habitat: Large stream cutting through hills and agricultural community land with secondary growth and scrub/tall grass. There are three ‘Fulvetta' in Taiwan but only one behaves as its name sake (the Grey-cheeked Fulvetta). The Dusky Fulvetta Taiwan subspecies is Alcippe brunnea brunnea or Schoeniparus brunneus brunneus (2014 CWBF Checklist of the Birds of Taiwan & Handbook or the World Alive). The 2014 CWBF Checklist of the Birds of Taiwan classifies this bird under the ‘Pellorneidae' (ground babblers). We saw a small flock of 5. They can be seen but are hard to image as very fast moving and keep to undergrowth. - Amar. Date added to OBI: February 04, 2015.
