Observation details
***Super rare, perhaps regular migrant but extremely infrequently detected, our first in the state. Found by Adam Troyer today while mowing one of the back hay fields. Not flushed after several transects through the field, finally refound as Adam started mowing again and flushed it almost immediately. It landed in shorter mown grass, where it still disappeared instantly, and then once more as it moved back towards woods edge. Seen again later in the afternoon after we arranged a viewing party, but not refound the following day. Tiny yellowish bird with black stripes and white spots, bold white secondary patches obvious in flight.
