Observation details
The bird was identified when seen struggling in the talons of the Shikra when the accipiter perched on the tree. The red, blue on the wings and the white spots were noted. Shrieked throughout while it struggled and we thought it would die but then it was dropped into the pond when the Shikra flew. It was then still as it floated in the water but hopped on to the island as it came closer to shore. Stayed still on the edge of the island in clear view (probably in shock) but after a couple of minutes, hopped further and flicked its tail multiple times. After another minute, it tried to fly but took off and weakly landed about 6-7 meters ahead. We didn't find it again but presumably, it stayed still (perhaps still in shock? Skulking? Injured? Worse?)
