Observation details
FIRST MAINLAND RECORD SINCE 1898! I've identified this individual as belonging to the ssp pallidus due to the thin black central lines on coverts and scapulars as well as the overall pale appearance (pallidus is considered to be a resident in NW Peru). The bird was found by the park guards on June 3 and identified by Ben Haase on June 4, who also had the last sighting of the bird, on June 21.
