210909_19_20_21. Pied Hornbill female call samebird cut21flewhightoridge. Cut_19 is actually response to cut_18 which I was listening to since my cable malfunctioned & a portion of the recording had got ruined. Not realising that the sound was actually audible to the bird! The bird immediately responded with a series of ascending crescendo in cut_19. Cut_20 is back to regular vocalising. Cut_21 is when bird flew high up to the ridge and vocalising form there (western ridge; wasn't visible prob perched inside canopy)
Observation details
See video!! Western ridge trail. Being chased by two adult Rufous Treepies! Then sat on my head on a tree and called!! One good/close sound-rec got ruined (3.5mm jack malfunctioned on my recorder/cable) but got some decent recs after I fixed it. Then sat on a top of a tree towards the main mudpath and called from there for a while (eye-level views). Then flew up very high on the western ridge and called from there (but not visible). Edit: Sighting at 09h01, stayed around until 09h35.
