Observation details
A continuing female, present from Oct. 16 to 27. Accepted by OBRC, see OBRC Report for 1989. From notes: ''a long, slightly downcurved bill with a broad, flattened base, black above, red-orange below to within a 1/4 inch of the black tip; dark line through eye, light or white line above eye; iridescent greenish head and back; dark, almost sooty wings and tail; short tail; some white on the end of outer tail feathers; white throat; white breast with dark flecks; white area under bend of wings; greenish sides; perched for long periods, side to side head movements, tongue flicking; single to many repeated kinglet-like 'jeett' notes".
