Observation details
Repeatedly heard the distinct vocalizing of falling “spink” calls. Heard two individuals, which sounded to be at a least ten meters in opposite directions but seemed to be calling to each other and responding. After much squatting and waiting, finally observed one of them at the edge of the “island” area. It was next to a male Common yellowthroat, foraging in the the reeds by the muddy waters edge. Horizontal long, full brown upperparts with similar brown thick streaks running vertical down its buffy cream underparts. Very prominent buffy supercilium extending from lores to nape. Brown and white streaked auricuars and throat. Often seen bobbing its tail as it forages and called out its sharp metallic call. Got audio recording to the two but only got decent pictures of one adult individual.
