Observation details
Seen well through scope for a short time as it preened. Record shots taken. Streaking on the breast with sharp cut off to pure white belly clearly evident. Slightly smaller overall than the Lapwings it was beside. Plumage quite dark with buffy brown tones and scalloping. Body seemed elongated with long tail and primary projections. Medium length bill with subtle downcurve. Legs yellowy.
