Observation details
Juvenile found by Mike and Trish flycatching from poles in hawk trapping station. Flushed by Cooper’s Hawk and flew toward state park. Contrasting brown mantle and black tail, with salmon wash to undersides. Pale gape and buffy wingbars suggest juvenile. Photos.
