Observation details
Incredible experience. I walked from the campground out to the tip of the peninsula that is now exposed due to the receding water. As I approached the end of this peninsula (roughly 1.2 miles from the campground) I heard an unfamiliar call just ahead of me. I looked down to see a group of 5 peeps resting along the shoreline just a few feet away. These included 2 Baird's, 2 Westerns, and a Least. I sat down and started taking photos, and the birds never strayed more than about 20 feet away during the 30 minutes I spent photographing them. Seen roughly here: 40.292856,-121.193407
