Observation details
Reported by Andy Bell yesterday. Traveling via boat, after an hour or so of searching, single bird located pursuing black and Forster’s terns. Grayish-blue bill with dark tip. Mantle and head appeared lighter, somewhat tan to faintly gold depending on light. White crescents on outer primaries, white mid veins on most outer primaries. Overall dark brown with notable lighter brown barring on back and sides. Photos.
