Observation details
Immature northbound at 11:35, close in to the point. Large bulky brown jaeger with deep chest, broad wings, dark head, bicolor bill, pale uppertail coverts, and bold white wing flashes. Per Sibley, “Juvenile’s combination of dark head and pale uppertail coverts not shown by Parasitic”. Photos from DSLR and digiscope video. Certainly the same Pomarine Jaeger seen 45 minutes later by Ryan Merrill just north at Carkeek. My first POJA of the year, first for King, and first for Washington!
