Observation details
See vids/photos foraging. Very deliberate, slow and laborious movements usually low, in low to mid canopy usually in branches in a shady clump of Ronjh/Acacia/broad-leaved trees near the damp part of forest, literally above a stone-made dam. Easily picked out among other actively foraging/gleaning/hovering/shifty birds. Very slow and methodical movements unlike any other leaf warbler at this point. Would flick wings often (very deliberate) and hold tail slightly cocked in a flycatcher-like manner (mini flycatcher!), keeping relatively still when doing that or pausing for a few moments before changing perch (very typical of the bird from breeding grounds too) - making it very easy to observe (perch changes very deliberate movements). Would also use legs often (instead of taking off) to skip/hop (not an obvious hop more like a skip) along branches very unlike Western Crowned/Green/Greenish. Found at western-ridge trail at the dam spot (warbler sweet spot). Did NOT utter even as much as a squeak while other birds were vocally giving calls off and on feeding (Greenish & Western Crowned) at the same time. Great Tits (juvies begging and very vocal) family very actively foraging at the time - and all birds were part of this mixed hunting flock moving together largely. But lost it after a few mins despite all other leaf warblers staying around and still feeing actively. Sighting at 11h13 watched well until 11h17, after which it couldn't be traced despite searching some.
