Observation details
I believe this is likely the same immature Sabine's gull reported yesterday at this location. It is a small gull with no eyeing. There were a number of Franklin's gulls at another part of the reservoir and the juveniles all had clear white partial eye rings. I compared the plumage of the Franklin's immatures with this one and the Franklins all had more gray backs. This gull had more brownish back and neck. It did not fly the entire time so I could not observe it in flight. The lack of a white eye ring seemed the most characteristic of the Sabine's gull rather than a Franklin.
