Observation details
Seems to be quite rare esp in fall. I was aware of this and cautiously identified the bird in the field as a pale Philadelphia, based on what appeared to be a yellowish throat. Looking at my pictures, it is obvious that the apparent yellow throat was an effect of the shaded lighting in which I got my extended views. The throat and front of breast were actually white-grey in the photos in good lighting, with the only actual yellow being on the flanks and around the vent. The head was also pale grey and the lores not overly contrasty, which also point against Philadelphia. White supraloral, with no additional black stripes on face and above lores like on Red-eyed (also head would contrast more with back and eye would likely be red). Back not seen overly well. The bill was appreciably longer and the head flatter looking than the Philadelphia, and the bill had a large amount of pale at the base - I'm not sure what that means though, if anything. In the same area as the Philadelphia, but even in the field it was apparent to me that this one was a different bird than the first. ID largely based on photos so you can evaluate based on those just as well as I can, so I'll spare any further description
