Observation details
This species should be listed as rare in all of Santa Fe county. The group flew together in V-formation high over the preserve, first in southerly direction and then off to the west, where they disappeared without landing in the preserve. The photos show the group moving away high in the sky and at a long distance, but the long-necked, rounded-tail appearance is clear enough. Tails shorter than Neotropic Cormorant. These may be the first photos of the species in Santa Fe county. [After count period.]
